Bringing It to Life

“The Jieldé lamp in these prints isn’t just a design icon—it’s my lamp. I found it second-hand, brought it home, and discovered it didn’t work. Rather than give up on it, I restored it. I replaced the ceramic bulb holder, rewired it with braided cable, swapped out the screws and washers for ones I chose by hand, and fitted a transparent plug to show off the wiring. What began as a simple restoration became something more—an appreciation of craft, utility, and timeless design. This print is the digital echo of that process. A tribute not just to the lamp’s form, but to its story.”
